Fixed, narrow solutions are always disproportionate
Meaning, disproportionate harm results. Are we ok with this?
An insightful interview with the chief medical officer of Uganda, who happens to work front lines in rural emergency rooms. He offers the perspective that so many of us have already considered, and public health is in fact tasked with; which, is that exclusively focusing all attention, efforts, resources and money into one possible disease, illness or treatment option and forsaking ALL others for years on end is fundamentally wrong and causes serious harm and loss of life. As we are seeing.
In a country that has taken a very different approach to Covid, essentially has zero Covid cases (5 in 40+ million population) and is not a public health issue whatsoever, people are instead increasingly dying of the untreated and undiagnosed malaria pandemic. Still. Even more so than pre-Covid as resource allocation and attention was more balanced previously. Ugandan’s are dying daily from a preventable disease that is inexpensive to protect from and treat, including a 5 year old boy just last week. Listen closely to the discussion around if this boy had access to treatment. Outcomes would be completely different. My son is almost 5. The decisions we make ourselves or accept by others, because “what are ya gonna do”, affect everyone else and our children have suffered profoundly from our global apathy and collective weaknesses. When those decisions become so unbalanced and counter productive who will be there to reverse or change them? Because, this is the point at which we find ourselves. Keep in mind, the very same people who caused the problems from making countless terrible disproportionately harmful decisions are the ones still holding all of the key positions of ”authority”.
If our concerns truly lie in human health and the integrity of life, why are we accepting actions that are clearly not of any benefit to people and are actually significantly degrading human life?
Please watch this interview for its practical and realistic approach for understanding the role of public health, government and big corporations. There is no one size fits all approach to treating anyone for anything. And, what one country faces will differ from another. This industrialized manufactured illusion, or better yet delusion, has become a dogma blindly accepted by the public all over the world. And, unfortunately, as a result, all of the world’s problems of inequality, inequity, intolerance, poverty and all cause death are far worse than ever before. Can we really look at this response as effective and just?
Solutions are within each of us. When you see or intuit that something is wrong, do not participate. Find deeper understanding, awareness, and truth. This is where your choices become your own, your will becomes free will. We cannot expect positive balanced change to come from those who are responsible for the onslaught of problems and suffering. They’re too busy subverting to cover up their incompetencies so they won’t be held accountable. And, their solutions are always fear based, superficial, never outline the consequences or problems inherent in their plans, and ultimately will only help them.
